**Please Note:

The Saturday Extended Hours surgery ceased with effect from 1 June 2011.

Due to the popularity of the early weekday morning Extended Hours surgeries, we have introduced a second GP who will see patients from 7.00am until 8.00am. These appointments are pre-bookable up to 8 days in advance. 

Surgery At Boots, Westfield Centre, Derby Opening Hours

There will be a Receptionist present from 10.00am until 4.00pm each weekday to help with your enquiries, book appointments, arrange prescriptions and assist with any new patient registrations.

The surgery doors are opened at 7.30am to allow you to call in and make an appointment. These times may vary slightly according to the doctor you are seeing.

For patients consulting with the Extended Hours GP from 7.00am, you will be able to gain access to the building.

Extended Hours

We have introduced an Extended Hours service for the convenience of all our patients.

Appointments are available at Wilson Street Surgery between 7.00am and 8.00am each weekday morning.

These appointments are pre-bookable up to 8 days in advance. GPs will alternate each day and so it may not always be possible to see the doctor of your choice in these appointments.

You can pre-book your Extended Hours appointment by visiting the surgery in person, telephoning us on our Appointments Line 01332 332628 (Monday to Friday) or using the On-Line Appointment Booking service (see the Appointments tab for information on how to access this service.)

When We Are Closed

Out of Hours Service

If you think you need to see a doctor outside of normal surgery hours, you should telephone Derbyshire Health United (Derby Medical Services) on 0844 412 2239.They operate a call handling and triage centre. You may be encouraged to attend the centre if you need to see a doctor. The centre operates by appointment only; it is not a drop in clinic.

NHS Direct

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call

NHS Direct  (0845 46 47) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
