Meningococcal (MenC)

Meningococcal disease is a life threatening infection. It is a term used to describe two major illnesses – meningitis and septicaemia. These can occur on their own or more commonly together. Most people will make re recovery but at worst meningococcal disease causes very severe illness that can rapidly result in death.

Programme to vaccinate children aged 14-25 years

For those patients in the age group 14 to 25 years that have not been vaccinated, please book an appointment with the practice nurse to allow vaccination to take place. This vaccination programme includes Freshers (first time University or Further education students).
